Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but it has been a rather busy weekend. The stone arrived on time, customs was handled by International Fedex and my credit card, so the hassle was minimal.
I unpacked the stone at the gemologist's, it is magnificent, he was impressed. I had a custom made setting prepared for it (following your handbook's advice - 18k yellow gold, white gold 4 claw head, simple yet
elegant design that emphasized the stone)
It went on her finger Friday evening, and she loves it.
Just for your info, the setting & her matching wedding band cost me 1k, and the stone & setting (engagement ring only) appraised at 12.9K.
Thanks again for all the help, your follow up once the stone was shipped was especially appreciated.
The wedding date is May 20, 2000, if you happen to be close to Regina around that time, let me know - you're invited.
Please note that Mr. Riel purchased an AGS000 "Hearts and Arrows" diamond.
