The Canadian Jeweller’s Institute, in conjunction with the Canadian government, is taking measures to control who performs jewellery appraisals in Canada.  Recently, the Canadian Jeweller’s Institute has instituted the ‘ACCREDITED APPRAISER PROGRAM’ in order to provide an instrument to recognize experienced jewellery appraisers of proven integrity who maintain the highest standards of professionalism.      Industry Canada officially endorses the “Accredited Appraiser Program”  Industry Canada is in full support of the “Institute’s efforts to promote sound competition by setting benchmarks for professionalism in the marketplace through this unique program”.       I, Martin Sheffield, am President of  ‘USA-GIA Certed Diamonds', 'Canadian-U.S. Diamond Service’ and ‘Independent Gemmological Services’ and have received the designation of ‘AA’ (Accredited Appraiser) from the Canadian Jeweller’s Institute.  The designation ‘AA’ or Accredited Appraiser is a highly coveted and respected designation appointed to only a select few across Canada.      All appraisals and certificates at CDS and IGS are meticulously prepared and are handled in a manner that fulfills the ideals and purposes of the Accredited Appraisal Program.   Yours sincerely,     Martin Sheffield G.G.,G.J.,A.A.
